2008 Election

My Iowa Retrospective on HuffPost Starting Today

UPDATE: Here’s a compilation of the five posts, completed.

While we’re all processing the end of 2008, I find myself thinking frequently about the end of 2007. It was certainly a time of uncertainty, and for those of us who supported Barack Obama from the beginning it was the make-or-break point in the campaign. As a tribute to that life-altering experience my interns, Megan and I had in Iowa last year, and because I continue to be baffled by the primary electoral process, I’ve decided to publish my private emails from the trip and the video we did on HuffPost this week. I’ll twitter the links each day (the first is here) and post a compilation here when it ends. Or, if you don’t like reading (gasp!), you can just watch the video below. The awesome music in the first montage is courtesy of Robert Ford’s “Caucus the Musical,” which we saw in Des Moines one night and it was absolutely hilarious.
