The growth across top news sites is remarkable at first glance, but then again this is the first election cycle during which media companies have committed to a significant investment in the online space. But I don’t think CPMs will come up until Web sites command an audience that is in even the same ballpark as other mediums. More importantly, online CPMs are not likely to increase to levels equivalent to the lost revenue from declines in print circulation. It’s still good, however, to see online traffic bumping upwards.
