Dubya: The Caped Crusader?

Ted wrote this interesting post in response to Andrew Klavan’s Bush-is-Batman oped in the Washington Post and Teresa proclaimed over the weekend via Twitter that she “want[ed] 2.5 hours of [her] life back” after seeing “The Dark Knight.”

Megan and I saw the flick over opening day weekend and loved it. We were stunned by how powerful it was and wound up having a spiritied discussion about the burden of moral authority and life-or-death decision making that any leader, such as an American President, must make. So I get how Klavan drew the parallel, but I didn’t really see Bush in the if-you-can-call-it-heroic leading role. I disagree with Teresa’s criticism of excessive violence; I thought that was necessary to reinforce the point.
